Alex Antetokounmpo will be joining the Sacramento Kings

Alex Antetokounmpo will be joining the Sacramento Kings in this seasons NBA Summer League. The youngest of the five Antetokounmpo brothers had submitted his name for the NBA Draft but wasn’t selected by any team.

Prior to the Draft, the 19-year-old Alex had workout sessions for the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs. He will now try to get an NBA contract and join via the Summer League route.

A couple of years ago, newly crowned NBA champion and Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo said that Alex “can be better” than him. Alex was then playing for the Dominican High School.

Last summer Alex Antetokounmpo turned down offers from colleges and decided to sign a contract with Spanish ACB League club Murcia. He played mainly with the club’s B’ team.
