Mykonos deputy mayor rushed to hospital after contracting coronavirus

The deputy mayor of Mykonos, Michalis Zouganelis, has been hospitalised since Friday after he contracted the Covid-19 virus.

According to reports, Zouganelis is in a critical but stable condition at the Tzanio hospital of Piraeus where treating physicians are fighting to avoid intubation.

It should be noted that Zouganelis had been been vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine in June.
