NBA champions Giannis  and Thanasis Antetokounmpo climbed the sacred rock of the Acropolis yesterday, where they stood before the Parthenon proudly clutching their  their NBA trophies.

The Antetokounmpo brothers were scheduled to visit their old neighbourhood of Sepolia in Athens where they would've joined old friends and locals to celebrate their triumphant return home as NBA champions but decided to postpone the event due to the devastating fires  ravaging the country.

26-year-old Giannis took to Twitter, saying he hopes there were no lives lost in the fire.
