Gold Medal Olympian Miltos Tentoglou arrives in Greece

Gold medal Olympian long-jumper Miltos Tentoglou arrived in Greece today Thursday, shortly after midnight and was greeted at Athens International airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" by friends and fans including the Secretary General of Sports, George Mavrotas and the president of SEGAS, Sofia Sakorafa.

Tentoglou  surprised everyone in his final jump at the Tokyo OIympics long-jump event as he was trailing in fourth place and not a contender for any medals.

But in his last (6th) attempt, the champion from Grevena, leaped over eight meters and 41 cm, leaving  stunned his Cuban counterpart, Juan Miguel Ecevaria, who had the same jump, but a worse second attempt (8.15 m Tentoglou and 8.09 m Ecevaria).
