Huge efforts to bring two Afghani translators to Greece as Taliban take Kabul

A great effort is underway to bring to Greece two translators who had worked with a Greek team in Afghanistan, together with their families.

According to sources close to Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, the Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry is making huge efforts the specific individuals to come to Greece.

The Greek embassy in Pakistan, which also covers Afghanistan, is doing what it can, but communication is very difficult.

This comes as the Taliban continue taking control of the entire country, including the capital Kabul.
