COVID-19: How many Greeks have been vaccinated?

More than 5,850,000 people have been vaccinated for COVID-19 with at least one dose, which corresponds to 55.6% of the general population and 65% of the adult population.

According to data collected by the Secretary General of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous, more than 5,515,000 citizens have completed their vaccination, which corresponds to 52.5% of the general population and 61.6% of the adult population.

On average, around 23,000 people are being vaccinated for COVID-19 everyday, lower numbers then previous months because of summer vacations.

In the last 10 days 72,000 citizens have made new appointments, ie for the first COVID-19 vaccine dose.

Vaccination rates per age group

For the age group 85 and over, 72.1% have been vaccinated with at least one dose.

For the age group 80-84, 72.3% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 75-79, 84.4% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 70-74, 78.7% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 65-69, 80.1% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 60-64, 75.9% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 55-59, 72.8% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 50-54, 69.3% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 45-49, 66.1% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 40-44, 61% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 35-39, 53.6% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 30-34, 51.7% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 25-29, 50% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 18-24, 39.4% have been vaccinated.

For the age group 15-17, 11.1% have been vaccinated.

For age group 12-14, 3% have been vaccinated,

5,274 citizens have registered for the home vaccination program. 4,000 citizens have already been vaccinated in the program.

More than 10,000 people have also been vaccinated in remote areas.
