GREECE ON FIRE: 1,900 autopsies on buildings and infrastructure have been carried out

inspections

Greece's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport announced yesterday that 1,961 infrastructure inspections had been performed by its engineers since the outbreak of fires.

Specifically in Attica, a total of 775 autopsies were performed, of which 405 in the Municipality of Acharnes, 44 in the Municipality of Kifissia, 290 in the Municipality of Oropos and 36 in the Municipality of Dionysos.

Respectively, 469 autopsies were performed in the Peloponnese, 149 in the prefectures of Ilia, 51 in Messinia,  205 in Laconia and 65  in Arcadia.

In Evia 673 autopsies were performed, 505 in the Municipality of Mantoudi - Limni - Ag. Anna and 168 in the Municipality of Istiaia - Edipsos.

In the Municipality of Lokra 12 autopsies have been performed in Fthiotida.

In the Municipality of Doridos 32 autopsies have been performed in Fokidos.

According to the data:

  • 1,245 relate to dwellings, of which 468 have been deemed suitable for use (habitable), 417 temporarily unsuitable for use (need repairs) and 360 dangerous for use and which will be re-inspected.
  • 88 in business premises, of which 19 are suitable for use, 43 temporarily unsuitable and 26 dangerous for use which will be re-inspected.
