A portrait of Giannis Antetokounbo made with over a thousand Lego bricks was made by a fan of the NBA star.

Dimitris Manthos, head of the Serres Brick Workshop company, devoted more than 40 hours to create the portrait of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"I have been thinking about it for a long time," said Manthos to Proto Thema.

"The recent NBA championship victory by the Bucks and the contribution of our Antetokounmpo were the reasons for me to start the project," he said, adding that 20 Lego bases were required to form the face of the NBA champion.

The total dimensions are 100 cm x 120 cm and a total of 20,500 lego bricks were needed.

The final "assembly" of the 20 bases, which form the figure of Antetokounmpo, is seen in the video.

The portrait is displayed in the window of Manthos' shop in the centre of Serres, attracting the interest of young and old.

A lover of the popular toy, Manthos has many Lego brick projects to his credit.
