Andy Murray trolls Stefanos Tsitsipas on Twitter after U.S. Open bathroom breaks

Andy Murray lost to No. 3 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas on Monday, a match that lasted nearly five hours.

In the middle of the match, Tsitsipas took a bathroom break, which is within the rules.

But it was the length of that break — around eight minutes — that had Murray fuming and complaining to officials, and then ranted about Tsitsipas after the loss.

However… it’s not the first time a player has done this to the Greek star, with talk that he might be taking well-timed breaks to mess with opponents’ rhythms.

What’s more, Murray attacked Tsitsipas on Twitter on Tuesday morning.

Andy Murray seems to forget what he did to Djokovic in 2012 to win the US Open.

The Washington Post wrote how Murray “strategically used a bathroom break to his advantage at the U.S. Open nine years ago, cementing his place in tennis history.”

“The career-changing restroom detour happened in 2012 when Murray faced off against Novak Djokovic in the final.

“Murray won the first two sets against the Serb but dropped the next two. As the momentum shifted to Djokovic, Murray was in danger of losing the match to Djokovic, who was then a major rival.

“During the break, Murray went to the bathroom.

“He came back and won the tournament.”

As the saying goes, pot calling the kettle black.
