Incidents break out in Larissa during welcoming event for 'Little Amal'

A scuffle broke out in Larissa, central Greece, during an event scheduled to welcome 'Little Amal', a giant puppet travelling in support of young refugees.

As a group of people from the city were gathered at Pinios River, waiting for Amal's arrival, when a group of protestor threw stones at them and taunted them.

Police was called and put an end to the incidents.

The 3.5-meter-high puppet will be carried across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the UK to raise awareness of young refugees and their urgent needs.
