In a social media post hours later the Greek Fire Brigade service confirmed that they 'had removed an unconscious person from a vehicle following a rescue order'.  The person involved was picked up by ambulance at the accident scene on Athens Avenue in Vouliagmeni, Attica, adding that 12 firefighters were involved in the rescue operation.

The seriously injured rapper was rushed to Asklipio hospital where staff tried to save his live. He was later pronounced dead.

It should be noted that earlier this year, Mad Clip was arrested following a dangerous police chase through Athens in February.

According to authorities he failed to stop for a police check, accelerated, and ran four red lights before police managed to intercept him.
