The first Hilton Hotel in Santorini is scheduled to open in Spring 2022.
Global hospitality chain Hilton has just announced a franchise agreement with Alexandros Tourist and Hotel Services Ltd to open the new Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort in Exomitis, located on the southwest part of Santorini.
A private and relaxing locale, Exomitis is at the end of the seemingly endless 3.5-kilometre black sand beach that starts from Perissa and is famous for some of its smaller beaches sprinkled across it’s stretch, including Perivolos and Agios Georgios.
With the volcanic black sandy beach on its doorstep, the Sea Breeze Luxury Resort is among the most luxurious 5-star properties on arguably Greece’s most famous island, instantly recognisable for its picturesque cliffs adorned by whitewashed, blue-accented, cube-shaped buildings and the tangerine sunsets that light up both sky and sea.
The incredibly beautiful property with dazzling Aegean sea views offers a combination of the beautiful Cycladic architecture, resort family-friendly facilities and bespoke services in an intimate setting.
Its interior design draws inspiration from Santorini’s iconic blue and whitewashed architecture, incorporating the island’s rugged natural beauty with stone walls and organic wooden textures.
One of a few luxury resorts on the island of Santorini, the new 37 room Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort will boast its own private beach, two restaurants and two bars for fine Mediterranean dining or a relaxed bite to eat or cocktail, two refreshing pools, and exclusively aesthetic spa and fitness facilities.
The enchanting, luxurious rooms and suites and amenities of the Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort are combined with supreme comfort, featuring private plunge pools and Jacuzzi hot tubs.
The Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort, Curio Collection, is a short drive from Santorini’s most iconic sites. From the architecture of the island’s cosmopolitan capital Fira to the prehistoric city of Akrotiri, guests can easily explore the volcanic island’s many popular tourist destinations located close by.
Less than two kilometres from Vlychada, a bustling marina full of seafood tavernas, attractions like the Santorini Arts Factory and neighbouring black-pebble beach, Santorini can be explored against a backdrop of volcanic cliffs and visit colourful beaches like the famed Red Beach and iconic Perissa Black Sand Beach.
Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort will belong to Curio Collection by Hilton, an upscale hotel brand within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.
It will be the latest Grecian Curio hotel, following the recent opening of The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton in June.
Curio Collection defines itself as a ‘soft brand’, meaning its specially selected independent resort and hotels are supported by Hilton, whilst retaining their own individual branding.
A global portfolio of more than 100 one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts, all offering a unique way to experience incredible destinations, Hilton has signed an ever-increasing number of Curio Collection by Hilton hotels over recent years, with 66 hotels currently in development.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton said, “With a 60-year legacy in Greece and hot on the heels of our latest opening in Crete, we are excited to further develop our Grecian portfolio with Hilton’s first hotel in Santorini. One of Greece’s most popular islands, Santorini welcomes more than two million visitors each year and is an ideal location for our second Curio Collection by Hilton in the Greek islands. This new hotel joins more than 20 Curio Collection hotels in development across Europe, doubling the brand’s European presence in the next three years. Opening next year, we are pleased to partner with Santorini specialists Alexandros Ltd to offer this unique and impressive beachfront hotel.”
Michail Karamolegkos, the owner of Alexandros Ltd, said, “Our experience in Santorini, from excursions and transfers to hotels and villas, makes us the ideal partner to open Hilton’s first hotel on the island. We are thrilled to be working with Hilton and look forward to developing our relationship in the future. We expect to open the hotel next year and are excited to welcome guests to this spectacular property.”
