Measures to reduce electricity tariffs to be announced next week

Measures to reduce electricity tariffs were pre-announced by Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis, who spoke at SKAI TV on Saturday.

The minister noted that the Greek government understands that global economy, and by consequence Greek economy is entering a new phase and tariff adjustments are needed.

He added that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will elaborate on economic policy and relief measures at the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF-September 11-19), during its opening weekend on September 11-12.

The price of one cubic meter of natural gas cost 9 dollars this time last year, "but now its costs 33 dollars," said Georgiadis.

The value of carbon dioxide has gone up to 63 dollars from the previous 22.
