Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will meet with US Senators Chris Murphy and Jon Ossoff on Monday at 11 a.m., according to a foreign ministry announcement.
The discussion between Dendias and the American senators is expected to focus on the further strengthening of the Greece-US strategic relationship.
The meeting comes the light of the recent visit of Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Robert Menendez to Athens, as well as on the forthcoming visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Washington, possibly in October.
A thorough discussion on developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East is also expected to take place, in the light of the recent visits of these two Senators to countries in the region.
