Powerful earthquake shakes up Mexico

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake shook southwestern Mexico on Tuesday night, the Mexican National Seismological Centre reported.

The earthquake's epicentre was reported below the grounds,  14 kilometers southeast of Acapulco, in the state of Guerrero, 400 kilometers south of Mexico City

The earthquake caused building to move,  whilst Mayor Claudia Seinbaum, said that no serious material damage has been reported so far.

According to the US Tsunami Warning System, there is a risk of seismic waves hitting the area after a strong earthquake.
