The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed the country's solidarity with the American people and the Biden administration on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the US on September 11, 2001.
On Twitter, the ministry wrote: "Today we stand in solidarity with our American friends and allies in remembering the victims of the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11.
"Twenty years on, we honor their memory and stand united in our collective moral duty to never forget and to continue to defend freedom and democracy."
