Greek Australian Andrews Meat wholesaler Peter Andrews has just sold his 1200 square metre Mediterranean-style house in Vaucluse for a record $34.5 million, reports real estate site Domain.

According to Domain, Peter Andrews and his wife bought the house for $173,000 in 1974 and have been living there ever since.

"In recent years the family’s home on Fisher Avenue has emerged as quite the dress-circle address, since the street record was set in 2019 by a contemporary house two doors away that was sold by plastic surgeon Michael Miroshnik for $36.5 million to Sunny Ngai, of the ABC Tissue empire."

The Andrews family home sales price is regarded as the second highest in the exclusive suburb of Vaucluse this year,  after the $35 million sale price of the Hillside Avenue mansion owned by Hong Kong arts patron Yang Yang to Simon Moore, head of private equity firm Colinton Capital Partners, and his partner Lucinda Cowdroy.
