President welcomes Greek Paralympics Squad at Presidential Mansion

The President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou welcomed members of the Greek squad to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, at the presidential mansion gardens on Monday.

The athletes, who won 11 medals at the event that had been postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, were congratulated by the president for their achievements. They were accompanied by their coaches and assistants, several latter of whom participated in the competitions themselves as support.

Paralympic sports representatives and officials also attended the event, in addition to Deputy Culture and Sports Minister Lefteris Avgenakis and Sports Secretary General Giorgos Mavrotas.
