Greek singer Evangelia has announced that she will submit a song to ERT with the chance of representing Greece at Eurovision.

Evangelia is set to submit a song to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer revealed today on the Greek talk show “Studio 4” that she will submit an entry for Eurovision 2022. OGAE Greece adds that 29-year-old Evangelia already has a song ready for the competition to be submitted into ERT’s selection process.

Yesterday, Evangelia met with Panik Records, a renowned Greek record company that has produced some of the last Greek and Cypriot entries at Eurovision: “This is Love”, “Oniro Mou”, “Fuego”, “El Diablo”, etc.

Evangelia Psarakis, commonly known as Evangelia, is a famous American-Greek singer. She was born in New Jersey in 1991. Evangelia grew up commuting between her grandmother’s small farm on the Greek island of Crete and her parents’ home in the US on the American East Coast, consequently meaning two completely different musical worlds, both of which influenced her style.

Among Evangelia’s hits, we can find singles such as “Pamé Pamé” or “Diving”. You can listen to her most recent single, “Fotiá”, just right here.

On September 7th, Greek public broadcaster ERT launched an open invitation for record companies to submit songs. Evangelia joins other rumoured artists such as Marina Satti and Kalomira (3rd at Eurovision 2008).

Greece finished 10th in the Grand Final scoring a total of 170 points with Stefania and her song “Last Dance”. This was the first time that the nation finished in the top ten at the contest since 2013.
