Provocative Turkish analysts: "We will enter Greece via Alexandroupolis or Bulgaria!"

Turkish analysts, one of them President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's advisers on Security and Foreign Policy, are discussing ways to invade Greece on one of the largest television networks, with the journalist-presenter coordinating as if it were normal.

These are not just dangerous allegations made from nationalists seeking a few minutes of publicity, but from retired officers and academics, who declare themselves "defense analysts" and project views and positions on major Turkish television networks.

They are often invited to big news channels to spread propaganda.

Speaking to pro-government CNN Türk about the concentration of U.S. military forces in Evros, retired Lieutenant Erdoğan Karakuş - who previously argued that the names "Aegean" and "Agamemnon" are "ancient Turkish" - commented Turkey is prepared to invade Western Thrace in Greece.

Mesut Hakkı Caşın, also known as President Tayyip Erdogan's Advisor on Security and Foreign Policy, also spoke on the same show.

Initially, Karakuş argued that the accumulation of American forces in Thrace, in Turkish military plans, is "not a problem."

He said: "American accumulation is not significant, nor is its power significant.

"There, America is somehow creating a military blockade position, so that our ground forces do not carry out an operation. See how they do it?

"They have now settled both in the port and in specific parts of Alexandroupolis. They are already installed and are now settling in the Giannouli camp."

Then, and because he considers the land in Evros unsuitable for the development of armored forces, "suggests" a Turkish invasion through areas where U.S. forces have been deployed.

"After crossing the river Evros, there is a flat area, while the whole area north of the city called Alexandroupolis, is completely mountainous and forested, not suitable for armoured vehicles, s

"That is why on that day you will have to go through the areas occupied by the Americans," said Karakuş , with Caşın intervening, claiming that there is a solution as: "The army can enter through Bulgaria and cut the lines."
