Giannis Antetokounmpo: "I would go back to selling CDs to have my father back"

Greek professional basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has said that he would give everything back for the chance to be once again with his late father.

"I want my father back, no second thoughts about that. You can take everything back, I could go back and sell CDs, I don't care. I want my father back. Next question,"  the NBA champion told COSMOTE TV in an interview just before his recent return to the United States.

Antetokounmpo's father Charles Antetokounmpo passed away in October 2017 after suffering a heart attack.

The humble sport star, who often makes his strong family values known has endeared himself further to fans and the media alike with his obvious devotion to his dad.

Hellas FM radio journalist Dimitris Filippis sums it up for all on his social media pages by saying "I just bow down to Gianni's greatness."

Antetokounmpo became a father for the first time in February 2020, with his girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger giving birth to their son “Liam Charles Antetokounmpo” who was so named in honour of Giannis' late father Charles.

Just days after the birth of his second son, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo uploaded a photo of him on Instagram hugging his two children, writing: “I love my boys”.
