In a move that will delight Australians and international travellers worldwide, Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced an end to the international travel ban which has seen Australians unable to travel for close to two years, reports  news.com.au

According to the news report, Australia is set to open its borders and green light international travel from next month, November, in states that hit vaccination targets.

The first Australian state set to taste freedom is New South Wales which is set to trial a 7-day home quarantine option for returning travellers.

Australia's border have been shut since March 20, 2020 to all non-citizens and nonresidents but even Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family needed to apply for an exemption to travel and to quarantine at a hotel for 14 days on arrival at a cost of more than $3000.
