Greek company denies tanker seized by Saudi Arabia

A Greek ship operator has denied one of its tanker has been involved in a seizure by Saudi Arabia off Yemen as reported by Tradewinds

Yemen Petroleum Co (YPC) had claimed that Saudi-led coalition forces had stopped the 47,000-dwt Fos Power (built 2007) from docking in Hodeidah, controlled by Houthi rebels.

AIS data showed the Fos Power, operated by Aerio Shipmanagement of Greece, at anchor in the Red Sea on Sunday. The ship left Djibouti on 19 September but no destination port is listed.

The Greek company told TradeWinds: "The vessel operates normally and by default carries only petroleum products. There has not been any arrest/seizure/detention of any kind."
