Olympic medallist and champion gymnast Lefteris Petrounias was discharged from hospital on Saturday after undergoing arthroscopy surgery to his shoulder on Friday.
His post-operative condition was described as excellent and he was discharged with instructions for post-operative care at home.
Leaving the hospital, Petrounias said that the surgery aimed to fix a problem that had started before the Tokyo Olympics and the current time had seemed the most appropriate for the surgery. He also thanked his doctors and the Errikos Dunant hospital for their care and their support for all athletes on the Greek Olympic team.
