More than 100 mobile housing and classroom units delivered to earthquake victims on the island of Crete

Following the devastating earthquake that saw more than 3,000 houses in Crete deemed uninhabitable, Greece's Deputy Transport and Infrastrucure Minister Giannis Karagiannis announced the delivery of 34 mobile housing units for the earthquake-stricken residents and children in the area of Arkalochori.

According to the Minister another 90 housing units are being prepared for delivery, while 15 mobile classroom units will be delivered to Crete in coming days, with a total of 100 classrooms expected to follow.

A 5.8 Richter earthquake in the vicinity shook the island of Crete on September 27,which results in the death of one man while nine others were injured.
