Former Deputy Prime Minister and PASOK party stalwart Evangelos Venizelos spoke highly of the recent military agreement struck between Greece and France, calling on all Parliamentarians to unanimously vote in favour of it.
"I consider it a diplomatic and political success, so it is obvious to me that it must be voted in favour by the Greek Parliament," Evangelos Venizelos said of the agreement.
In an interview with Action 24, the former Deputy Prime Minister noted: "When I made my post (s.s .: on social media) I expressed my congratulations to both the government and the Prime Minister.
"I consider it a diplomatic and political success, so it is obvious to me that it should be voted in favour by the Greek Parliament on such an important issue as national security. Greek-French cooperation strengthens both European political cooperation and NATO and there is no problem on the part of the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
"If I were in the opposition position, I would think in a more generous and positive way and the vote would be positive."
