Qatar and Greece signed an agreement of joint co-operation in the legal field between the ministries of justice in the two friendly countries.
The agreement was signed by HE Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohamed al-Ameri and Minister of Justice of Greece Kostas Tsiaras.
The agreement aims to strengthen the bonds of co-operation between the two countries in the legal field, exchange experiences, expertise and legislation in issues of joint interest, and organise scientific meetings, conferences and training courses on various issues related to legal affairs and related sectors. The agreement establishes joint coordination for the implementation of co-operation and joint training programs for workers in the legal sector in both countries.
On the sidelines of the signing of the agreement, HE al-Ameri met with Kostas Tsiaras and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the country. During the meeting, they reviewed means of enhancing legal cooperation between Qatar and Greece and developing it in various judicial fields, in addition to discussing mechanisms to implement the legal agreement signed between the two friendly countries, and a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting and the signing of the agreement were attended by the ambassador of Greece to Qatar Eleni Michalopoulou and a number of senior officials in the ministries of justice in the two countries.
