Greece, Cyprus and Egypt sign MoU on diaspora issues

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on issues of the diaspora was signed by Greece, Cyprus and Egypt at the 9th Trilateral Summit of the three countries held in Athens on Tuesday. 

Signing were Greece's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister for Greeks Abroad Andreas Katsaniotis, Cyprus' Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights & for Overseas Cypriots Fotis Fotiou, and Egypt's Minister of State for Immigration & Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram.

This confirms the strategic significance which the Greek government attaches to regional cooperation schemes, said the Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry in a statement.
