Turkey violates Greek airspace 38 times in a single day

Turkey continue to violate Greek airspace over the Aegean Sea, including with armed fighter jets.

On Tuesday, 38 violations were recorded in the Northeast, Central and Southeast Aegean by 13 Turkish aircraft (ten F-16s, two ATR-72s and one UAV).

Of the 38 violations, 30 were committed by ATRs and eight by fighter jets, two of which were armed.

According to the Greek military, the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, according to established practice, and immediately chased out of Greek airspace.
