France delivers Greece with Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft free of charge

France provides Greece with Dassault Falcon 7X

French aircraft manufacturer Dassault will provide the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) with a Falcon 7X aircraft free of charge, Pentapostagma said, citing government sources. As shown in the image above, the aircraft has already received the HAF markings and will be delivered shortly.

According to the Greek media, senior Greek officials said that the concession aims to meet an obligation not fulfilled by France following the Mirage 2000-5 contract signed in 2000. It appears that the agreement included supplies to Greece of military equipment as well as providing works contract for local aerospace industries.

The Falcon 7X will be mainly used by the HAF for VIP transport. In addition to the free aircraft, Greece will also receive one year of full support, training of technicians and crew and the dispatch of a Dassault technician to Greece for maintenance of the aircraft in the first months following delivery. The total value of the program amounts to 3.2 million euros.
