Beginning at midday on Saturday, clashes broke between between two Taliban factions, ensuring that the destabilised situation in Afghanistan is maintained.
Mullah Baradar forces and the Haqqani network clashed in Kabul, Helmand and Kandahar provinces, likely in a power struggle between different factions of the extremist group.
There has been dozens of casualties reported everyday the clashes and disagreements for power continues.

The Taliban rapidly took over the near entirety of Afghanistan after US forces rapidly withdrew from the country in August.
Since then, chaos has ensued as the Islamic State gains new members from desperate and destitute citizens as Taliban factions fight amongst each other in the power vacuum.
Despite this situation, Pakistan continues on a campaign to normalise the global image of the Taliban.
