ATHENS: Seven police officers injured in stolen car chase

A total of seven police officers were injured during a stolen car chase in the area of Perama, Athens, late Friday night leading to the death of the driver.

According to police reports the driver of the stolen vehicle reversed into police crashing into their motorcycles, in his attempt to escape capture and was later shot dead.

According to a police statement issued on Saturday, the driver,  a 20-year-old male died on the scene, while the other car passenger is being hospitalized under police guard and will soon be identified.
