The Prime Minister said the program would begin with a pre-symptomatic check for cancer of the breast, the most common form of cancer threatening women, and the one cancer that can be healed if found early enough.

In 2022, a special pilot program will allow all women aged 50-69 to get free examinations for the illness. "Technology will help us inform women by email of their annual breast exam," the premier said, "while health clinics will be able to offer counseling so we may change dangerous habits and behaviours," he added.

The program, he said, "is an obligation of the state which is now even greater, as it will be accompanied by Fofi's strength and smile." It will be also accompanied by the message that "the efforts for a better public health must always unite us."
