Mazomenos is a multi award winning Greek filmmaker, writer, director, producer with 26 wins and 42 nominations from prestigious film festivals including the Montréal World Film Festival, Scandinavian International Film Festival, Sitges – Catalonian International Film Festival, the Hellenic Film Academy Awards and the Thessaloniki Film Festival to name a few. He is a member of both the European Film Academy and the Hellenic Film Academy.
