President Katerina Sakellaropoulou visits earthquake stricken areas of Crete

The President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Sunday toured areas of the regional unit of Heraklion, Crete, hit by 27th September’s earthquake.

Sakellaroupoulou was briefed on the consequences of the earthquakes and the condition of the stricken areas.

The first stop of Sakellaropoulou’s visit was at Agies Paraskies of the municipality of Arhanes-Asteroussion, where she was welcomed by the regional governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis, the mayor Manolis Kokosalis and other local agencies.

Afterwards, the President visited the town of Melesses where she talked with the locals hosted at the indoors gym of the area.
