Greek professional basketball player, Giannis Antetokounmpo was jubilant to learn that his three-point percentage for the season was higher than fellow team member, two time NBA All-Star Khris Middleton’s.
The Milwaulkee Bucks power forward was entering into a little friendly competition with his team mates at practice in the lead up to today’s game with the New York Knicks.
He walks over to the scoreboard and playfully draws a crown over his own name with a red marker.
Giannis lets out a whoop when his coach then tells him, “Before the Detroit game, your three-point percentage was higher than Khris’.”
“I don’t know what it is now,” admits the coach, ‘but before the game, I’m going to say you were at like 30%. And he was like 29.9%.”
“Hey first of al I’m ninth all-time! Ninth all-time in this franchise that’s crazy!” says the grateful athlete incredulously about his record breaking performance thus far with the Bucks this season.
“By the end of my career I’ll be second,” says Giannis, respectfully.
“Khris is going to be first.”
