Light earthquake hits Laconia

A light earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was felt at 11:15 am in the region of Laconia.
According to the Geodynamics Institute of the Athens National Observatory, the quake's epicentre was located eight km southeast of the town of Neapolis at a focal depth of 47 kilometres.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said that the quake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale, and its epicentre was near the communities of Aghios Nikolaos and Velanidia.
