Crete: A 92-year-old woman committed suicide with telephone cable

An old woman put an end to her life on Thursday afternoon in the Cretan city of Heraklion, specifically in the area of Kipoupoli.

The 92-year-old woman hung herself with the cable of a mobile phone charger, which she tied to the foot of the bed, Creta Post reported.

Her lifeless body was located by her daughter and granddaughter who visited her, who immediately notified the ambulance and police.

The Heraklion Police Department are examining the causes that led her to her suicide.
