Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s scheduled visit to Athens on November 20-25 will be carried out as planned.

His planned visit to Thessaloniki and Mt. Athos was postponed though due to the worsening COVID-19 situation, the Patriarchate announced on Saturday.

In Athens, Bartholomew will attend several honorary events that will be held to honour the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the Patriarchal Throne.
