For a year and a half, the traces of a young Afghan man who had robbed and stabbed two Pakistani land workers at the Amfikleia railway station in May 2020 had been lost.

However, he was located by police in the Nafplio area and was initially arrested for being illegally in Greece, Proto Thema reported.

As it turned out, he was the one who had immobilised the two Pakistanis, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, with the threat of a knife and asked them to give him all the money they had and their mobile phones.

When they reacted, he did not hesitate to injure them, as a result of which they were hospitalised for several days at the General Hospital of Lamia, while he snatched a mobile phone and money.

Following the arrest of the 25-year-old Afghan and the prosecution for violating the law on foreigners, the investigator of Lamia issued an arrest warrant against him for attempted murder, robbery and violation of the law on weapons.

He will be detained until he at least testifies.
