Dendias to Christodoulides : Greece will assist Cyprus in resolving its issue

Greece will assist the Republic of Cyprus in its efforts to resume negotiations to resolve the Cyprus issue on the basis of the UN Security Council and the European acquis, said Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias after his meetings with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides in Nicosia on Tuesday.

"Our vision remains one that sees an island united, free from occupation troops, free from anachronistic guarantees," he said.

"We will continue to condemn illegal Turkish actions," Dendias continued, adding "which cannot go unanswered at EU level."
