Criminal charges have been filed against a Greek health centre in Karditsa over fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates.

On Monday, the Karditsa Prosecutor's Office filed severe charges concerning the action of a criminal organisation after the completion of the investigation into the case of the fake vaccination certificates from the Health Centre in Palamas.

This is the first criminal prosecution in connection to the case, while investigations are already underway, with a relevant order of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court in other parts of Greece where there are suspicions that false vaccination certificates have been issued.

The case file, submitted by the Karditsa prosecutor, concerns a total of 48 people who are under investigation in relation to the case, while four or five of them are facing serious criminal charges relating to the establishment of a criminal organisation and acts of money laundering.
