Greece has seen a massive 118.1 % increase in airport passenger traffic reported the country’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Monday.
According to the CAA, total passenger traffic in all Greek airports rose 118.1%, with arrivals from abroad recording an increase of 126.9%in October 2021 compared to October 2020.
Arrivals in the ten-month period recorded an increase of 69%compared to the corresponding season last year, while compared to the corresponding 10-month period of January-October 2019, when there were no bans and restrictions on flights due to the pandemic, they dropped by 45.7%.
The total number of passengers reached 32,057,627, showing an increase of 69% compared to 18,967,841 passengers in the corresponding period of 2020.
