Greece today “needs fundamental changes, as the challenges it faces have specific parameters and dimensions that are not temporary,” SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras said on Tuesday.
At the first meeting with the members of the party’s new think tank, the main opposition party leader spoke of the party’s progressive strategy, which required “some of the country’s best minds to work with us for the practical improvement of citizens’ life.”
Some of the biggest issues that this think tank will be called to examine, said Tsipras, will be climate change and the digital transition of public infrastructure and state services, a new, contemporary production model, and the creation of a powerful social state.
“Our target has always been a better life for all, in a better Greece,” he noted.
The 30 consultants that make up the think tank will actively contribute to Tsipras’ initiatives and interventions, and they will also weigh in on the legislative initiatives of the party’s parliamentary group.
