Heraklion: Police find abandoned girl in a box

A little girl abandoned alone in a cardboard box was located by police during their patrol around Theotokopoulos Park in the centre of Heraklion in Crete.

The uniformed men heard the crying of the child, who was found sitting alone in a cardboard box.

The police tried to reassure her and offered the little girl chocolates and candies.

According to Creta Live, the little girl is a member of a large family.

The father is just 28 years old and a drug user.

He was located and arrested.
