Police have planned strict security and traffic measures from Saturday across Athens in view of the three-day visit of Pope Francis.
According to police sources, more than 3,500 police officers will be available to ensure a smooth and fast transfer of the Pope during his visit to various locations across Athens.
Because of this, during the three days of December 4-6, emergency traffic regulations will enacted across Athens with detours across the city's road network.
