Red Notice became the most popular movie in Netflix history in only 20 days

With 328.8 million views, the movie Red Notice has became the most successful on Netflix in just 20 days since its release, dethroning 2018's Bird Box.

More specifically, it achieved in 18 days 328.8 million views. In comparison, Bird Box had 282 million in 28 days.

Simply put, so far, 50% of all Netflix subscribers around the world have seen "Red Notice", which is in fact the most expensive movie on the platform.

The film, starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, is a production by Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions and debuted on Netflix in early November.

It also remains in the platform's top 10 movies in 94 countries, according to Netflix.

Dwayne Johnson wrote on Instagram about the success of the film

"Here’s my slick talkin’ frenemy @vancityreynolds and I, giving you a taste of why RED NOTICE has officially become THE BIGGEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF NETFLIX!!! In under two weeks, we’ve shattered all records and we have many weeks to go."

The movie plot

An FBI analyst pursues the most wanted art thief, but inadvertently becomes his accomplice in the hunt for a swindler who is always one step ahead.

In the exciting adventure that follows the three protagonists travelling around the world, dance, trapped in a secluded prison, in the jungle and, worst of all, having to constantly endure each other.
