Google has released its customary "Year in Search" for 2021 which offered us an opportunity to take a glimpse at what were the most popular search items trending in Greece this year.
Top of the searched items in deceased celebrities were rappers Mad Clip, followed by politician Fofi Gennimata and Mikis Theororakis, whilst Stefanos Tsitsipas ranked 3rd amongst the living ones. He was 'beaten' in the popularity 'search' stakes by two jailbirds from the arts, former director of the National Theatre of Greece Dimitris Lignadis and actor Petros Fillipidis, both held on sexual assault charges. Surprisingly, Prince Phillip were among the most search items along with other surprising items.
