The Turkish occupying authorities of northern Cyprus arrested a Greek Cypriot on Friday for "indecent action".
According to Proto Thema, the man was in occupied Famagusta, got out of his car and tried to hang a Greek flag on a monument erected by Turkish authorities who occupy northern Cyprus in violation of United Nations resolutions.
There was a reaction from Turkish-speaking Cypriots and settlers from Turkey.
The Greek Cypriot left the flag at the monument and left with his car.
The so-called "police" of the pseudo-state was notified and arrested him a little later when he was trying to return to the free areas.
He is expected to be taken to a "court" of the pseudo-state that is recognised by no other country but Turkey.
