Italy recorded 23,195 coronavirus cases and 129 related deaths in the last 24 hours, making it the highest number of infections since the 1st of April 2020.
In total, 634,638 diagnostic tests were performed, 3.7% of which were positive.
There are 870 patients with Covid-19 in the intensive care units of the country, while there are 7,309 in the hospital wards.
At this stage, the virus positive in Italy is 305,653.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,282,076 cases have been reported in the country and 135,178 people have lost their lives.
